Education
We’re committed to providing ongoing education for people on their journey to homeownership.
In addition to our Wider Path in-person classes in faith-based organizations and to the classes our lenders provide through Community Allies, we provide these starter ongoing educational resources for people on their journey to homeownership. If you are a first-time homebuyer or if you are strengthening your knowledge on homeownership and budgeting/saving, credit, etc., please enjoy our starter videos with links that lead to education on History, Financial Education, Generational wealth, Homebuyer Stories and Community Development. Dive in and explore the world of homeownership, its challenges, and triumphs, and how it could work for you.
Our Community Allies partner supports lenders who receive Honoring Stories and Integrating Curriculum® training in working together with faith-based organizations to provide their congregations with virtual Honoring Stories and Integrating Curriculum® homebuyer education. These lender-supported E-Learning classes ensure loan officers have available materials, tools, and resources to walk closely with homebuyers who are far removed from homeownership and to help prepare them for sustained homeownership.
Wider Path establishes Widening-the-Path to Homeownership Programming with these FBO’s and helps the housing professionals in their congregations provide in-person versions of these classes.
